Job Description:

Are you a dedicated and experienced Early Years practitioner looking for a new and exciting opportunity? Do you hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Childcare (NVQ or Cache certificate) or have significant experience as a Nursery Nurse? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable Nursery Assistants to work in Wigan primary schools and nurseries. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience, support children's learning, and enjoy flexible working days.

Job Responsibility:

To provide in-class support for either the whole class, identified individual students or small groups of students (e.g. 4-5 students)
Under the direction of a class teacher, SENCO, to develop and lead small group work
To assist in delivering and producing teaching and learning materials for students, including differentiating the materials
To provide regular feedback to the class teacher and to the SENDCo or the relevant line manager
To support the teacher with setting up the class including the daily activities, ensuring that continuous provision is available, display boards, managing pupil journals and work books etc.

Requirements:

Relevant qualifications (L2/3 TA etc.)
High knowledge of the EYFS curriculum
Classroom experience
Two references from the last 5 years (1 must be a full child-based safeguarding reference)
