Job Responsibility

  • Lead, manage, and inspire nursery team to deliver high-quality care and education
  • Create nurturing and stimulating environment supporting children's all-round development
  • Build positive relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies
  • Oversee nursery operations including staff schedules, budgets, health and safety, and regulatory compliance
  • Act as mentor fostering culture of continuous improvement
  • Promote ethos and values of The Old Station Nursery
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
  • Lead inspections and maintain accurate records for EYFS framework and Ofsted standards compliance

Requirements

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification or above
  • Proven experience in an Early Years leadership role (e.g., Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager, Assistant Manager, or comparable position)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor, motivate, and drive a team
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with passion for creating brighter futures for children
  • Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered)
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Satisfactory references
  • Verification of essential qualifications
