Job Responsibility
Oversee day-to-day nursery running and ensure strict Ofsted compliance
Manage, mentor, and inspire staff while fostering a collaborative team
Act as DSL to maintain a safe, nurturing environment for all children
Oversee EYFS implementation to provide engaging, high-quality learning
Build strong, trusting partnerships with parents and the local community
Liaise with admin and finance teams to manage occupancy and budgets
Requirements
Level 3 Early Years qualification
Paediatric First Aid certificate
Deep knowledge of child development, EYFS, and Ofsted requirements
Proven ability to motivate, lead, and develop a diverse staff
Highly organised in managing schedules, rotas, and daily occupancy
Paediatric First Aid certified with calm crisis-management skills
Strong communication skills to handle sensitive conversations diplomatically
Basic understanding of budgeting and nursery resource management
At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in a leadership role
Must be DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) qualified
