Job Description

Job Responsibility

  • You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed
  • This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps
  • Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session
  • Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games
  • It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged
  • Of course we work within the EYFS standards

Requirements

  • Ideally hold a Level 2 or above in Childcare
  • Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under the age of 5, is advantageous
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
  • Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together

  • You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care
  • Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning
