We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming primary school community, located in the heart of Cornwall. This part-time role offers an opportunity to support our school’s ethos of fostering a nurturing environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and pupils, contributing to a comprehensive and inclusive curriculum that values individual development and promotes a love of learning. The position is available from Wednesday to Friday each week, providing a flexible opportunity to make a meaningful impact within our school. This role is ideal for a Level 3 nursery TA committed to supporting young learners in their early educational journey.
Job Responsibility:
Provide targeted support to individual pupils and small groups, particularly within the nursery setting, ensuring they have access to the curriculum and are supported in their personal development
Assist the classroom teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering activities that align with the school’s inclusive and child-centred approach
Support the social and emotional wellbeing of pupils, promoting positive behaviour and a safe, caring environment in line with the school’s values
Supervise pupils during various activities, including playtimes and lunchtimes, ensuring their safety and fostering a sense of community
Support the implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural strategies to meet the needs of individual children
Contribute to maintaining a stimulating and organised classroom environment that reflects the school’s commitment to high standards and holistic development
Assist with the supervision of children during outings and special events, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s inclusive ethos
