We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Primary Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Cornwall. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting our school's mission to provide a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment aligned with our core values of respect, collaboration, and excellence. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure every child receives the individualised support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Job Responsibility:
Provide personalised support to pupils, including those with additional needs, to enable their full participation in the curriculum in line with the school's inclusive ethos
Assist class teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons and activities that promote student engagement and progress
Support the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring activities are developmentally appropriate and inclusive
Supervise and support children during classroom activities, outdoor play, and break times to promote a safe, caring, and stimulating environment
Monitor and record individual pupil progress and behaviour, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessment and planning
Support the social and emotional development of pupils through positive behaviour management and fostering respectful relationships
Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of each child, including attending meetings and sharing relevant information
Uphold the school's safeguarding policies, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children at all times
Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge, contributing to the school's continuous improvement
Contribute to a positive team environment, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to changing needs within the school community
