Job Description:

Join us in supporting young children to grow, explore, and thrive in nursery settings. Randstad is looking for nurturing and dedicated nursery assistants to support early years settings across Scotland. You'll play a key role in helping children feel safe, engaged, and ready to explore the world around them-supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs in a caring environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supporting children individually or in small groups
  • Assisting with play-based learning and care routines
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment
  • Communicating effectively with early years staff and parents
  • Following nursery policies and safeguarding procedures
  • Bringing energy, kindness, and patience to every day

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children in education or care
  • Flexible and adaptable to different nursery settings
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • PVG registration (or willingness to apply)
  • SVQ Level 3 in Childhood Practice, Social Services (Children and Young People), or equivalent (or working towards it)
