Job Description:

Nursery Assistant – Full-time, long-term temporary position starting January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Nursery Assistant to join a school that provides a nurturing and inclusive environment. The school promotes high standards of early years education, with strong leadership and a committed staff team working together to ensure children feel safe, supported, and motivated to learn. Pupils benefit from a stimulating and engaging curriculum that encourages personal development and well-being.

Job Responsibility:

Support the delivery of engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
Assist with planning and preparation of learning resources
Provide one-to-one and small group support to children where needed
Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
Ensure safeguarding and health and safety policies are consistently upheld

Requirements:

Level 3 Early Years qualification is essential
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting
Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff
Excellent communication and organisational skills
A caring and proactive approach to supporting learning
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
