We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery/EYFS Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant team. As a Nursery Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can learn and grow.
Job Responsibility:
Assist the nursery staff in providing high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years
Support the planning and delivery of engaging activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
Help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment where children can learn and thrive
Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere
Assist with daily routines, including meal times, toileting, and outdoor play, ensuring the well-being and happiness of all children
Contribute to observations and assessments of children's development, helping to monitor progress and plan next steps
Requirements:
Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent is desirable
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is desirable
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and its principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and caring approach to working with children
Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality care and education
Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS on the update service
