Job Responsibility:
Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of adult patients with hematologic malignancies and solid tumors in both inpatient and outpatient settings
Conduct new patient consultations, follow-up visits, treatment-related assessments, and symptom management visits
Manage patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapies, and other systemic treatments, including monitoring for and managing treatment-related toxicities
Collaborate closely with attending physicians, nursing, pharmacy, infusion services, and other multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care plans
Participate in inpatient rounding, admissions, discharges, and transitions of care as assigned
Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment options, symptom management, and supportive care needs
Order and interpret diagnostic studies, prescribe medications, and perform procedures within scope of practice and collaborative agreements
Document clinical care accurately and timely in the electronic medical record
Support quality improvement initiatives, evidence-based practice, and institutional goals
