Job Responsibility
Acts as the surgical first assist in the OR
independent rounding on patients in the acute post operative phase
post operative wound care and pain management
timely collaboration with consulting physicians
coordinates discharge from the hospital
evaluation of new consults
evaluates new and existing patients in collaboration with staff physicians and multidisciplinary team
completes outpatient documentation
performs clinic procedures as applicable
shared night and weekend call
home call for breast surgical oncology service during the week
weekend call with inpatient rounding and OR coverage for stat or emergency cases
Requirements
Certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant Required
Licensed Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) Required
Surgical experience required – First assist preferred
