Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Nurse Paralegal to join a dynamic law firm in Boca Raton, Florida. The ideal candidate will have expertise in personal injury law, medical malpractice, and pre-suit case preparation. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced legal environment while utilizing your organizational and legal drafting skills.

Job Responsibility:

  • Manage pre-suit activities, including drafting demands, investigating and preparing cases
  • Conduct investigations for medical malpractice cases within Florida and other states
  • Handle electronic filing of legal documents and ensure timely submissions
  • Draft and prepare legal correspondence and documents with precision
  • Schedule and maintain calendars for case deadlines, hearings, and other legal events
  • Organize case files, ensuring all necessary documentation, such as medical records and police reports, is obtained and properly stored
  • Coordinate with attorneys and other team members to support case preparation
  • Request and follow up on essential documents needed for case development
  • Assist in litigation filings and ensure compliance with court regulations
  • Utilize discovery processes to gather relevant case information

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nurse Paralegal in personal injury or medical malpractice law
  • Proficiency in e-filing and electronic document management systems
  • Strong skills in drafting legal documents and correspondence
  • Experience in pre-litigation case preparation and investigation
  • Ability to organize and maintain accurate case files
  • Familiarity with scheduling and calendaring tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Knowledge of discovery processes and legal procedures

Nice to have:

Pro Law program experience preferred
