As our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will take a leadership role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, and developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans. This position provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill patient populations across all ages, from infancy to later life/geriatric, within our dynamic Perioperative department. Every day you will go over consent forms, answer questions about the procedure, do preoperative assessments, and prepare patients for various surgical procedures. You will serve as a patient advocate through holistic care practices, recognizing and adapting swiftly to changes in patient conditions (e.g., abnormal lab results, vital signs) in a timely and clinically appropriate manner. Utilizing the SBAR format for physician notification and performing bedside nurse-to-nurse reports are critical daily functions.
Job Responsibility
Prepare patients for surgical procedures

Organizes and prioritizes patient care activities balanced with the needs and comfort of the patient
Requirements
One (1) year RN experience within Critical Care (ICU, Telemetry, ER)
AZ RN license or RN license from a Compact State
Current American Heart Association BLS
American Heart Association ACLS, within 30 days
American Heart Association PALS, within 6 months
Nice to have
Strong cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring skills
BSN
One (1) year post anesthesia care experience
Knowledge of surgical procedures, critical care (surgical) background, pediatric experience helpful
