Nurse Manager

• Responsible for the performance of your people and your unit
• Responsible for providing an environment in which residents can maintain independence to the fullest extent possible in a warm community atmosphere with privacy and the comforts of home
• Coordinates the resident care to meet the requirements for ongoing facility re-licensure by the Department of Social Services
• Hires, trains, schedules, evaluates and oversees work of staff in the Resident Care department including designing and providing a departmental orientation for resident care staff
• Sets schedules and assigns responsibilities for the care given to residents
• Supervises staff giving treatments, medications, and assisting residents with the activities of daily living
• Supervises staff carrying out doctors' prescriptions and documentation of such actions
• Facilitates regular departmental staff meetings
• Controls supply budget and orders supplies as needed
• Ensures timely and cost efficient operations
• Ensures major equipment in the Resident Care area is in good and safe state of repair and operating condition
• Ensures resident care area is maintained in an organized manner

• 5 years Experience as an R.N. or L.V.N. in a position having some contact with a senior population
• Management experience
• Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire or Licensed Vocational Nurse: CA, upon hire
