Job Description:

Nurse Manager (RN) position at Centra Behavioral Health Hospital, a brand-new 72 bed behavioral health facility opening in 2026. The role involves ensuring appropriate staffing, monitoring attendance, communication, evaluations, incident reporting, and delivery of quality nursing care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensures appropriate staffing for their shift and the following shift
  • Minimizes use of agency and overtime
  • Assists in monitoring attendance by accurately reporting staff tardiness, absences, leave early and stay late behavior
  • Assist in communication with staff verbally and written, to ensure staff are aware of policy or procedure changes, meetings, or other important information
  • Preform evaluations and disciplines in an appropriate and timely manner
  • Report incidents appropriately and within the designated time frame
  • Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required
  • Previous experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience working with chemical dependency, dual diagnosis, psychiatric and geriatric patients preferred
  • Two years' leadership experience preferred
  • Current unencumbered license to practice by the State Board of Nursing
  • valid driver's license preferred
  • CPR certification and Crisis Prevention Training (CPI) within 30 days
  • May be required to work flexible hours
