Requirements

Current state RN license
Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
Minimum of five (5) years of Acute Care nursing experience
Minimum of one (1) year of Nursing Leadership experience
Three (3) years of Surgical Services nursing experience preferred
Current CPR certification
ACLS and PALS certification
Critical Care Course or Basic Coronary Care Course preferred

Job Responsibility

Interviews, selects and provides for training of new employees
Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance
Adheres to Corrective Action Policy for Employees
Completes daily departmental assignments
Edits and approves time worked in payroll system
Reviews, validates and codes invoices in a timely manner
Adheres to Grievance Policy
Develops and implements department and/or hospital policies relevant to patient safety and overall Strategic Plan of the organization
Develops and implements effective strategic initiatives to guide staff towards accomplishment of objectives and goals
