Job Description:

Nurse Manager (RN) - Surgical Services (Miners Medical Center). Join a team dedicated to making communities healthier. The role involves leading the surgical services team at Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, a 25-bed facility with a Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, providing high-quality, comprehensive care.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interviews, selects and provides for training of new employees
  • Independently evaluates and determines work assignments and evaluates job performance
  • Adheres to Corrective Action Policy for Employees
  • Completes daily departmental assignments
  • Edits and approves time worked in payroll system
  • Reviews, validates and codes invoices in a timely manner
  • Adheres to Grievance Policy
  • Develops and implements department and/or hospital policies relevant to patient safety and overall Strategic Plan of the organization
  • Develops and implements effective strategic initiatives to guide staff towards accomplishment of objectives and goals

Requirements:

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing school
  • Minimum of five (5) years of Acute Care nursing experience
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Nursing Leadership experience
  • Three (3) years of Surgical Services nursing experience preferred
  • Current CPR certification
  • ACLS and PALS certification
  • Critical Care Course or Basic Coronary Care Course preferred
