Job Description:

Baptist Nassau is seeking a Nurse Manager for our Med Surg Unit! This is a full-time days position.

Job Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the 24/7 leadership and operational management of a fast paced, high acuity 40 bed inpatient unit
  • Ensures the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while promoting staff engagement, regulatory compliance, and fiscal responsibility
  • Leads clinical and support staff and collaborates with the interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals
  • Recruits, hires, trains and evaluates nursing staff, conducts performance appraisals and coaching, promotes professional development and continuing education while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
  • Addresses patient and family concerns promptly and effectively while supporting initiatives that improve patient satisfaction scores
  • Ensures compliance with hospital policies and standards set by accrediting bodies such as Joint Commission and CMS
  • Exhibits strong leadership and decision-making skills, effective communication and conflict resolution, data-driven quality improvement and financial acumen
  • On-call rotation with other campus leaders

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree - Nursing
  • 3-5 Years Nursing Leadership Experience Required
  • 3-5 years of Acute Care Experience in a Medical/Surgical or Critical Care Setting Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice to have:

  • Master's Degree - Nursing
  • The NE-BC certification Preferred
