Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and mentor Registered Nurses
  • Oversee clinical operations
  • Advocate for patient and team needs
  • Drive professional development and achieve unit goals
  • Supervises assigned professional, technical, and clerical staff of the department to ensure the quality of work
  • Manages the workflow of the unit to ensure the delivery of quality patient care
  • Implements and supports patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs
  • Develops staffing patterns and ensures availability of sufficient qualified staff to meet patient care needs
  • Works to develop and retain highly skilled and well-rounded staff including hiring, orienting, training, directing work, evaluating performance and assuring clinical competency

Requirements:

  • Bachelors Of Science Nursing and Minimum of 3 years RN experience, upon hire
  • Minimum of 2 years leadership (i.e. RN-Charge) experience and/or Equivalent leadership capabilities will be considered in lieu of the leadership experience requirement based on executive leadership approval
  • Registered Nurse: KY, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days
