Nurse Interventional Radiology

• Assume a leadership role in assessing patient/family health problems and resources, with a primary focus on developing, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive nursing care plans for acutely ill adult patient populations in our Imaging Services department
• Provide comprehensive, safe, and effective, evidence-based nursing care, organizing and prioritizing patient activities while maintaining a balance between patient needs and comfort
• Serve as a dedicated patient advocate, utilizing holistic care practices and skillfully adapting to changes in patient conditions, such as abnormal lab results or vital signs
• Management of blood samples and calculations
• Sterile technique, scrub and assist physician during cases
• Administration and knowledge of medications given to the patient under the supervision of the physician
• Operate physiologic monitoring equipment
• Operate all equipment related to IR procedures (IABP, Penumbra, IVUS, ISTAT, MedRad injector, manual thrombectomy, EKOS, McKesson pressure monitoring, venous Doppler, etc.

• Two (2) years of recent CriticaI Care experience
• Registered Nurse: AZ
• American Heart Association BLS
• American Heart Association ACLS, within 6 months
