The Nurse Aide I provides essential support to the nursing team by delivering both direct and indirect patient care in alignment with physician and nursing orders. This role assists with treatments, procedures, and daily care needs to ensure high‑quality, age‑appropriate care. The NA I contributes to a safe, therapeutic environment while supporting the overall patient experience and clinical workflow.
Job Responsibility:
Provides direct patient care under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse (RN)
Performs special procedures safely and correctly as delegated by the RN
Creates and maintains a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patients, coworkers, and visitors
Ensures accurate, complete, and timely communication of patient information
Interacts with patients, families, and the care team in a professional, positive, and effective manner
Demonstrates ownership for professional performance, growth, and development
Delivers care that is appropriate for all ages/developmental stages served, following organizational guidelines
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED required
Completion of an applicable State‑Approved Nurse Aide I course required
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to perform effectively under frequent workload changes and competing demands
Basic computer skills
