Job Responsibility:
anesthetize patients safely and effectively for a variety of surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedics, ob/gyn, ent, podiatry, pediatrics, and gastrointestinal procedures
collaborate with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement anesthesia care plans
monitor patients responses during anesthesia and adjust treatments as necessary
manage out-of-operating room anesthesia cases such as ob or gi procedures
maintain patient safety by adhering to all protocols and standards in anesthesia care
participate in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain certification and clinical skills
ensure equipment and supplies used in anesthesia delivery are properly maintained and prepared
Requirements:
master’s degree in nursing
completion of a nurse anesthesia graduate program
certification as a certified registered nurse anesthetist by the national board of certification and recertification for nurse anesthetists
valid current or temporary alaska registered nurse license
Nice to have:
preferred doctorate degree
preferred experience working in an acute care setting within the past 12 months as a crna
preferred additional related education and/or experience
