Job Description

Robert Half, in partnership with our client, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Nurse Aide Evaluator. This role is responsible for evaluating candidate competencies through proctored written examinations and observation-based clinical skills assessments. The Nurse Aide Evaluator will ensure a secure, professional, and seamless testing experience while upholding strict standards for exam delivery, site security, and candidate integrity.

Job Responsibility

  • Evaluate candidate knowledge and clinical skills
  • Proctor and administer computerized, knowledge‑based examinations
  • Objectively observe and score candidates completing practical clinical skill demonstrations
  • Prepare testing sites by reviewing rosters, setting up rooms, and ensuring proper cleanup
  • Maintain full working knowledge of Prometric policies and standard operating procedures
  • Greet examinees, verify identification, and manage candidate flow throughout the testing event
  • Monitor written examination sessions or direct a proctor as appropriate
  • Oversee the testing environment to ensure compliance and smooth operations
  • Resolve candidate issues or escalate to supervisors as needed
  • Protect confidential exam content, including secure administration of computer‑based tests
  • Perform basic technical troubleshooting such as rebooting workstations or resetting passwords
  • Ensure every candidate receives a professional, supportive, and consistent testing experience
  • Report any irregularities or issues outside company guidelines to the appropriate supervisor
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with assigned testing sites
  • Maintain accurate appointment schedules and ensure appropriate test event coverage
  • Provide on‑site leadership and direction to candidates throughout the exam process
  • Build and foster professional rapport with peers across the Nurse Aide Evaluator community
  • Serve as a Prometric brand ambassador with candidates, site partners, and potential clients
  • Coordinate and maintain candidate rosters for all assigned test dates

Requirements

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of operation
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in long‑term care or caring for chronically ill individuals of any age
  • Experience in staff development, education, or training preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced computer proficiency (MS Office, Outlook, web browsers, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Access to personal computer equipment (laptop/desktop, printer, etc.)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to testing sites
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proactive, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Ability to travel 30+ miles one‑way from home ZIP code
  • Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours per test event)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (e.g., testing mannequins and equipment)
