Job Description:

Our Nuclear Safety Team makes sure that we keep our operations running as they should – and are well-prepared to manage the situation safely and securely should they ever go wrong. As part of this team, you’ll use modelling tools to explore scenarios and simulate outcomes, helping to design smart controls and safety measures that prevent them from becoming reality.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work across the full project lifecycle, from designing new facilities to upgrading existing ones
  • Support research and production and help to safely decommission old sites
  • Solve complex technical problems
  • Model accident scenarios
  • Write detailed reports on how we manage nuclear, radiological, environmental and conventional risks
  • Collaborate with a range of experts including engineers, operators, project managers and external regulators
  • Build strong connections while delivering on real-time projects
  • Support the analysis of nuclear radiological, chemical, explosives and other major hazards associated with facilities, plant, equipment and products
  • Break down complex risks
