Minimum of 5 years’ experience
Relevant science and engineering disciplines (Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Control and Instrumentation (C&I), Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Physics and Nuclear Physics)
EDF AV3 qualification (or equivalent) is minimum
Excellent report writing skills
Highly computer literate
Hold a minimum of BPSS security clearance or are eligible to obtain it
Able to travel within the UK
Suitable background to achieve UK security clearance

3-7 years in fluid system design, thermal-hydraulic analysis, or nuclear plant operations (entry-level positions may require internships or co-op experience)
Expertise in fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles
Proficiency in hydraulic modeling and simulation software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR CCM+, Flowmaster)

Job Responsibility

Responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of fluid-based systems in nuclear power plants, research reactors, and other nuclear facilities
Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of cooling, steam, and hydraulic systems while maintaining strict compliance with nuclear safety and regulatory standards
Working closely with reactor engineers, regulatory agencies, and maintenance teams to develop and improve system performance, reliability, and safety
