We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Nuclear Engineer to join our pioneering team dedicated to the 10th generation BWRX-300 nuclear power plant. As the Nuclear Reliability & Maintenance Strategy Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the unparalleled safety, reliability, and operational efficiency of our standard plant design. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of maintenance strategy development, from acquiring critical engineering data to performing advanced analyses and optimizing asset management plans. This position sits at the intersection of design engineering, data analytics, and risk management, offering a unique opportunity to shape the future of nuclear energy.
Job Responsibility
Own and deliver on a portfolio of engineering tasks focused on developing and optimizing asset maintenance strategies for various plant systems (Master Parts Lists - MPLs)
Acquire, validate, and meticulously input critical nuclear engineering data into our Asset Performance Management (APM) software
Conduct comprehensive analyses of design engineering data to identify and mitigate all potential failure modes that exceed a predetermined Risk Priority Number (RPN) threshold
Develop data-driven, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies for critical plant assets, ensuring optimal equipment health and performance
Utilize the APM tool to optimize asset strategies across each MPL, balancing total system risk against constraints such as labor hours and budgetary limits
Champion the continuous improvement of maintenance strategies by incorporating operational feedback, performance trends, and industry best practices
Work closely with design engineering, systems engineering, and operations teams to ensure maintenance strategies are robust, practical, and effectively implemented
