Job Description:

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist Clay, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a PRN, various shifts opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body
  • Sterilizing syringes
  • Preparing patients for a scan
  • Processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease
  • Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures
  • Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials
  • Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure
  • Complying with mandatory education and health requirements

Requirements:

  • Vocational School
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Radioactive Material Experience
  • Knowledge of State and Federal regulations
  • Experience working in a hospital setting
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
  • Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required Or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
  • Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist Required

Nice to have:

  • Experience with geriatric and cardiac patients preferred
  • Associate's Degree
