Job Responsibility

Perform specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals
Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals
Operate advanced imaging equipment (e.g., gamma cameras, PET scanners)
Acquire high-quality images and process data for physician interpretation
Ensure patient safety and comfort
Adhere to strict radiation safety protocols
Meticulously document all procedures and radioactive materials from receipt to disposal
Assess/interpret age-specific data
Encourage involvement of patient, family, significant other in decision making related to plan of care
Effectively coordinate patient care with physicians and other disciplines involved

Job Responsibility

Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family

Calibrate and draw up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients
formulate radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits
Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction
Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay
