Job Description

Baptist Health is currently looking to add a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to our Nuclear Medicine Department at Baptist Medical Center Downtown, located in Jacksonville, FL. This is a Full-Time, Monday-Friday opportunity, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for administering radioactive medication to patients and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan, and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease.

Job Responsibility

  • Performing high-quality diagnostic procedures
  • Knowledge of State of (and adherence to) Florida rules and regulations regarding Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials
  • Protecting patients, self, and others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure
  • Complying with mandatory education and health requirements

Requirements

  • Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) - NMTCB
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
  • Licensed Nuclear Medical Technologist - ARRT
  • Driver's License - DMV
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine - ARRT
  • Customer Service Experience
  • Radioactive Material Experience
  • Knowledge of State and Federal Regulations
  • Experience Working in a Hospital Setting
