A Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for providing patients with radioactive medication and operating imaging technology to track the radiation within the patient’s body. Their duties include sterilizing syringes, preparing patients for a scan and processing image reports that indicate the presence of disease. This is a Part-Time opportunity.
Job Responsibility:
Performing high quality diagnostic procedures
Knowledge of (and adherence to) State of Florida rules and regulations in regard to Radiation Control/Radioactive Materials
Protecting patients, self, others from unnecessary/excessive radiation exposure
Is compliant with mandatory education and health requirements
Identifies, Prepares, administers, and documents medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner in accordance with state, and federal regulations or Lawful institutional policy
Requirements:
Vocational School
Customer Service Experience
Radioactive Material Experience
Knowledge of Federal and State Regulations
Experience working in a hospital setting
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine ARRT (N) Required
Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CNMT) Required Or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification (CPR) Required
