Job Responsibility:
Competently, performs standard, specialty and complex Nuclear Medicine procedures with little or no supervision, utilizing radio pharmaceuticals with accuracy, producing quality studies under a variety of conditions
Prepares radio pharmaceuticals for administration to the patient
Performs venipuncture and catheterization duties as needed
Performs quality control procedures to ensure federal, state, and departmental standards/requirements are met
Assists in monitoring the daily quality assurance of the unit, while ensuring the equipment is operating according to manufacturer's specifications
Assists in the identification and resolution of work process issues within the department
Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of practice
Maintains knowledge of, observes, and enforces the safety measures in Environment of Care
Must demonstrate experience or high level of competency in working with leadership to improve technical performance, implementing new technology and/or software applications, maintaining or developing scanning protocols, published, or actively publishing, in professional journals, ACR application process, mentoring or teaching in respective specialty, and/or improving operational efficiency within their department
Requirements:
High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required)
Program Nuclear Medicine (required) Or Formal training in Nuclear Medicine (required)
BLS - Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
CTNM - CA Certified Tech, Nuc Med Lic (required)
Minimum five (5) years Nuclear Medicine (required)
Nice to have:
College Degree - 2 year (preferred)
College Degree - 4 year (preferred)
CNMT - Cert Nuc Med Technologist (preferred) Or RT-N - ARRT Reg Tech Nuclear Med (preferred)
