Job Description

Join our team of Nuclear Licensing Engineers at the forefront of ground-breaking projects, across the civil nuclear and defence sectors. You will be producing, delivering and implementing licensing plans to expedite the scaled-up deployment of the current and next generation reactor technologies, like SMRs and AMRs, as well as fusion, space, and non-power reactors, both here in the UK and worldwide.

Job Responsibility

  • Development of licensing submissions and delivery of regulatory engagement
  • Supporting delivery of innovation through nuclear and related licensing
  • Delivering technical work to support our clients licensing plans
  • Liaising with clients and regulators to understand their challenges and developing solutions
  • Representing the business in technical meetings with clients, regulators and other third parties
  • Helping to maintain the technical capability/knowledge of the community and mentoring junior team members (as appropriate), and work with centres of excellence

Requirements

  • An appetite for enabling new nuclear projects through expediting nuclear licensing
  • A degree (or equivalent demonstrable experience) in a STEM discipline
  • Experience of executing project tasks against relevant standards and best practices
  • Good communication skills and ability to articulate information to a broad range of stakeholders
  • Chartered Member of a professional institute (or equivalent demonstrable experience) or working towards either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with a relevant professional body
