Job Responsibility:
Performs Nuclear Medicine and PET CT studies
Properly sets up equipment, positions patient, and determines proper acquisition parameters
Able to effectively work in all areas of Nuclear Medicine including Radiopharmacy, Quality Control and therapies
Translates Nuclear Medicine electronic orders to verify patient name, date and appropriate exam
Ensures proper imaging techniques related to patients age and ability to understand procedure
Maintains patient record keeping by properly using the current electronic scheduling and imaging archiving programs
Maintains appropriate inventory of supplies in the Clinical Nuclear Medicine rooms
Assists with the training of new Nuclear Medicine Technologists as needed
Requirements:
Certified as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or registered as a Radiologic Technologist (RT) and certified in Nuclear Medicine (NM) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
