Job Description

The Nuance Sales Manager is directly responsible for the leadership, management and profitability of national Nuance Audio sales. Consistently achieves established national sales goals through the direction, organization, coordination, and development of Nuance Tech Specialists. Effectively acts as a mentor and coach to the Tech Specialists. Ensures customer satisfaction. Ensures Tech Specialists are equipped to be successful through training, communication of national and regional programs, and usage of provided sales tools. Ideal living location: Near a major airport. Travel up to 50-60% inclusive of overnights.

Job Responsibility

  • Own national Sales performance for Nuance Audio, driving adoption across independent eye care professionals (iECPs), Regional Key Accounts (RKA) and Audiology practices
  • Lead, coach, and motivate the dedicated Nuance Tech Specialist team to achieve national distribution and productivity goals
  • Serve as the senior commercial voice in front of key accounts, presenting the Nuance value proposition and representing at trade shows and practice level education sessions
  • Analyze sales data to shape pricing and incentive structures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage demo kit distribution, recall/replacement cycles, inventory management, and new product launches
  • Drive penetration strategies with EL360, Vision Source, & Diamond Plus networks
  • Partner with marketing and training teams to roll out programs that accelerate adoption and highlight ROI for practices
  • Act as the central liaison between U.S. field team and global stakeholders (finance, product, marketing, legal)
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets (leases, units ordered, capture rate growth)
  • Partner with Business Development Managers and lab network to coordinate sales activities and resolve operational issues
  • Has a solid understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the national scope
  • Leads by example in demonstrating high levels of customer service through direct customer involvement
  • Responsible for growing and developing his/her team in his/her business unit through effective communication in the PPR process, ride-withs and individual one-on-one coaching
  • Provides continuous feedback on team performance
  • Successfully recruits, hires, trains and develops the best talent for the Nuance Tech Specialist position
  • Completes reports and other administrative duties in an accurate and timely manner
  • Always represents the company in line with stated core values
  • Creates a safe work environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director and/or VP of Sales

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 5-10 years of successful outside B2B sales experience required
  • Proven leadership, management and communication skills
  • Demonstrated computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, general pc navigation, contact management system and sales analytical tools)

Nice to have

  • Demonstrated results in managing sales people strongly preferred
  • Optical sales experience preferred
  • Audiology sales or industry experience preferred
