Nr 220 teaching assistant

• Assist in all aspects of course sections taught online and/or in person at the Mountain Campus
• Duties include assisting teaching, grading papers and exams, conducting study sessions
• as well as managing student groups in the field, driving vans, caring for equipment, and physical activities at the Mountain Campus

Enthusiasm for teaching and learning

• Preference given to graduate, or upper-level undergraduate, students at Colorado State University in the Warner College of Natural Resources who have completed NR 220 or know the material
• Knowledge of field sampling methods (forestry, fish/wildlife, range, watershed, human dimensions)
• Plant/animal identification skills
• Experience with computers, software (e.g., Office, Canvas), working in online and in-person courses
• Experience with compasses, maps, and GPS
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• Able to perform field work at elevations up to 11,500 feet above sea level
• A valid driver’s license
• First-aid training
• Ability to attend a few online organization meetings prior to summer
