Job Description:

As an NPI Engineer at NTS Singapore, you are responsible for successfully transitioning new products from design to mass production. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, quality, and on-time product launches. In this role, you play a key part in developing robust manufacturing processes and supporting production ramp-ups in a high-precision, cleanroom environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects from design phase through pilot build and mass production
  • Manage project timelines, resources, budgets, and communicate progress to internal stakeholders
  • Review designs for manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA), providing feedback to design teams
  • Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality procedures
  • Support pilot builds, production ramp-ups, and resolve manufacturing issues through structured problem solving
  • Participate in risk assessments such as FMEA and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in high-precision assembly, manufacturing, or design engineering
  • Hands-on knowledge of manufacturing processes including mechanics, electronics, control systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics (semiconductor industry preferred)
  • Experience with complex mechatronic systems such as linear motors, sensors, servos, actuators, and control systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, multidisciplinary teams
  • Proficiency in reading and updating technical drawings
  • cleanroom experience is an advantage
