Join us at Onggi, a new Korean food brand within the KellyDeli family, launching at Kings Cross. As a Junior Chef, you’ll support the kitchen team in preparing fresh, high‑quality Korean dishes while learning the techniques, flavours, and standards that define the Onggi experience. This role is perfect for someone early in their culinary journey who is passionate about Korean cuisine and excited to grow with a brand from day one. You’ll work closely with our Chef to deliver consistency, quality, and a warm, engaging customer experience in our open kitchen environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Support the Chef in preparing and cooking Korean dishes to Onggi standards
  • Follow all food safety and hygiene procedures
  • Assist with ingredient preparation, portioning, and storage
  • Maintain consistent quality in every dish
  • Help create a friendly, engaging customer experience in our open kitchen
  • Keep the workspace clean, organised, and compliant with all documentation requirements
  • Learn Onggi recipes, methods, and brand principles
  • Contribute positively to a fast‑paced launch environment, offering ideas and support as the brand grows
