Job Responsibility

  • Oversee daily non-gaming revenue accounting activities and help stabilize operations by addressing outstanding work volume
  • Lead month-end close tasks, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Monitor general ledger activity to ensure revenue-related transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
  • Support audit readiness by organizing documentation, responding to audit requests, and reinforcing strong internal control practices
  • Evaluate current workflows and introduce more efficient procedures to improve accuracy, consistency, and turnaround time
  • Ensure accounting activities align with compliance standards, internal audit expectations, and applicable Minimum Internal Control Standards
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, clarify revenue reporting issues, and maintain reliable financial records
  • Assist with tax-related accounting processes and support the use or optimization of tools such as BlackLine where applicable

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in revenue accounting or accounting supervision, preferably within a complex operational environment
  • Strong working knowledge of month-end close, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and journal entry review
  • Experience supporting financial statement audits and maintaining documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Familiarity with internal controls, internal audit practices, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Understanding of tax compliance processes and their connection to accounting operations
  • Ability to identify inefficiencies, recommend process improvements, and implement practical operational changes
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and reconciliation platforms such as BlackLine
  • Exposure to casino or gaming-related accounting environments is beneficial
