Job Description

Our client, a global law firm, is looking for an experienced non-contentious construction Lawyer to join their ranked team for a contract of 12-14 months in duration. The role is to start ASAP and will operate on a hybrid working basis, with 2 days per week in the office.

Job Responsibility

  • Work closely with a directory ranked Partner
  • Receive enviable exposure to a broad range of non-contentious construction matters
  • Advise on the drafting and negotiation of complex construction contracts for a range of domestic and international projects
  • Work with most of the main suites of contract including FIDIC, NEC and JCT as well as bespoke contracts
  • Work on transactions often involving energy and transport infrastructure projects

Requirements

  • Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia or New Zealand, for example)
  • Possession of upwards of 5 years’ experience in advising on a full range of non-contentious construction matters
  • Relevant experience in the UK market, within notable firms across the City or regions
  • A good eye for detail
  • The willingness and ability to commit to a 12-14 month fixed term contract
  • The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice
