ChristianaCare is actively recruiting Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine-Pediatrics physicians to join its established Hospital Medicine team in a Nocturnist role. The position involves working with a large hospital employed group of 125 physicians and 25 advanced practice clinicians servicing 3 hospital campuses (1,300 beds) in Newark and Wilmington, DE and Elkton, MD. The health network includes outpatient services, home health care, medical aid units, a Level I trauma center, Level III neonatal intensive care unit, a comprehensive stroke center along with regional Centers of Excellence.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide hospital medicine services as a nocturnist
  • Work thirteen 12-hour shifts per four-week block plus one remote 8-hour shift every other block
  • Teach residents and medical students
  • Participate in quality and safety committees and project teams

Requirements:

  • Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, and Internal Medicine-Pediatrics physicians
  • Board certification/eligibility in relevant specialty
  • Ability to work 12-hour night shifts
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, or Maryland

Nice to have:

  • Experience teaching residents and medical students
  • Interest in leadership development opportunities in teaching, quality and safety committees
  • Experience in hospital medicine or nocturnist role
