Requirements

Previous experience of working in a warehouse environment
A desire to Continuously look to improve processes and procedures to improve efficiency
Understand the value of attaining the highest levels of Customer service
Awareness of manual handling techniques
To comply with all Health & Safety legislation
To commit to working night shift pattern
A minimum level of education, GCSEs (or equivalent) and have a good understanding of both written and verbal English

Job Responsibility

Perform a variety of warehouse duties to support our nightshift operations for our key Howdens contract
Receive, pick, put away, replenish, and dispatch items in an efficient, safe, and timely manner
Ensure all equipment checks are carried out in accordance with procedures and raise any defects to your line manager

Significant experience in operating a sit-down counterbalance forklift
Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs and stand for the entire shift
Good communication skills
Motivation and flexibility to perform various material handling and logistics support tasks

Proven experience and expertise in operating a forklift

Job Responsibility

Operate the Sit-down counterbalance forklift safely and efficiently for picking and placing materials
Manually perform accurate order picking and preparation using order tickets, ensuring item accuracy
Handle heavy material handling tasks, including lifting, pushing, or pulling loads up to 50 lbs when required
Participate in general warehouse support tasks, such as packaging, ticketing, and sorting products (general labor)
Actively contribute to stock and inventory management
Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the work area, adhering to all safety standards
Communicate clearly with the team and supervision regarding the status of orders and equipment
