We put people at the heart of everything we do and are looking to recruit a confident, hands-on and spirited Nights Supervisor to lead our overnight operation at our fabulous dual-branded Moxy & Residence Inn Slough. We are the first dual-branded property in Slough – two hotels operating in one building! Residence Inn by Marriott is our extended stay brand, where guests stay longer and expect a true home-away-from-home experience. All suites offer generous living and working space, plus fully equipped kitchens. Our Maximizers want to make the most of their stay, and we help them do just that – with grocery services, complimentary breakfast, and insider knowledge of Slough, Windsor, London and beyond. #ATTHEMOXY we’ve created a free-spirited playground where our Fun Hunters can be bold, social and spontaneous. The Wi-Fi is speedy, the beds are cushy, the bar is buzzing – and the Crew makes it all happen. Our team does it all… bartender, host, problem-solver, brand ambassador – and at night, you lead it.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and supervise the night team, ensuring brand standards and service excellence are delivered consistently
  • Act as the Manager on Duty overnight, handling guest escalations and operational challenges with confidence and professionalism
  • Oversee guest check-in and check-out processes and support the team during peak times
  • Ensure all night audit procedures are completed accurately and on time using Opera PMS
  • Prepare daily reports for senior management and ensure a smooth handover to the morning team
  • Ensure all revenue is correctly posted and reconciled
  • Complete night audit balancing, Opera settlements reports, receipt checks and banking procedures in line with company standards
  • Maintain strict control over cash handling and security procedures
  • Carry out a minimum of two security checks at regular intervals, with emphasis on fire, safety and overall building security
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and emergency protocols
  • Act as first responder in the event of incidents overnight
  • Deliver exceptional guest service aligned with Marriott and Cycas standards
  • Serve food and beverages in line with company standards where required
  • Oversee room service preparation and delivery
  • Ensure public areas are maintained to brand standards throughout the night
  • Ensure early morning calls and guest requests are actioned accurately and promptly
  • Coordinate meeting room set-ups where required
  • Support light cleaning duties and ensure back-of-house and public areas are presentable
  • Attend and contribute to relevant training sessions
  • Take ownership of additional responsibilities when required to support the business

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a supervisory or senior front office role within a hotel environment
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of Opera PMS and night audit procedures
  • Confident decision-maker with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work night shifts on a rotating basis
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
  • A proactive, positive and hands-on approach
