Job Responsibility

  • Optimize production efficiency by reducing setup times, ensuring proper machine speed, and upholding quality standards for finished products
  • Work closely with the maintenance and management teams to ensure equipment is running efficiently at all times
  • Review production instructions (dockets) for accuracy and ensure teams follow them accordingly
  • Maintain rigorous quality standards by proactively monitoring processes and addressing any non-compliance without delay
  • Identify, recommend, and implement initiatives aimed at increasing productivity and improving work methods, actively participating in continuous improvement efforts
  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date production reports and documentation
  • Foster a healthy and respectful work environment, building trust with all night shift team members
  • Manage daily attendance, leaves, and absences to ensure effective coverage of operational needs
  • Contribute actively to staff performance reviews and support disciplinary actions when appropriate

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the flexible packaging industry
  • Supervisory experience (an asset) with strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Resourceful and open-minded
  • Strong initiative and ability to resolve issues effectively
  • Comfortable using computer tools, including Outlook and ERP systems
  • Proficiency in French, spoken and written (primary working language)
  • Ability to communicate in English verbally, as needed, to interact with certain employees, suppliers, or external partners who communicate in English
