We are recruiting Critical Facilities Technicians, night shift, to operate and maintain a brand-new, cutting-edge data center facility in Lancaster, TX, just south of Dallas. Job Responsibility
Operate and maintain critical and non-critical equipment and systems to ensure 100% uptime at a mission critical data center
Oversee power, cooling, and environmental conditions within data halls
Manage planned and unplanned work, including preventive maintenance, using a CMMS
Assist in creating, revising, and executing operating procedures and PM inspections
Troubleshoot and document electrical and mechanical issues, resolve them quickly, and escalate appropriately
Manage and respond to emergencies and critical issues for complete recovery
Assist with physical and logical installations and adhere to change control activities
Handle assigned tasks efficiently and effectively manage/escort external contractors
Follow all employer policies, procedures, and safety laws, and maintain accurate facility data
Assist with general facility operations, training, and construction/commissioning projects as needed
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Prior military or technical school training, preferred
For the CFTII role, 2-3 years of experience working in a data center or mission critical environments
this experience is not required for the CFTI role
Experience with building electrical, mechanical, BMS and fire systems, preferred
Electrical or mechanical license (HVAC), preferred
Nice to have
