Job Responsibility

  • Planning and implementing care that gives residents security, dignity and independence
  • Getting to know residents and their families
  • Helping to deliver personalised care plans
  • Maintaining highest standards of care
  • Influencing the rest of the team
  • Providing physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities
  • Administering medication
  • Maintaining accurate records
  • Building strong relationships with the team

Requirements

  • Leading a team of Care Assistants

  • Recognising signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect
  • Attending safeguarding training appropriate to role
  • Undertaking additional training in associated areas
  • Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns

  • To report and record in the appropriate manner any information considered to be important. Read and write reports in an accurate and timely fashion using the computer systems
  • To deal with any queries or worries expressed by residents/relatives/visitors and forward on to senior managers if unable to resolve
