Job Responsibility

  • Managing the care team within the Home
  • Ensuring care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines
  • Promoting and delivering high standards of care
  • Supervising and supporting less experienced staff
  • Demonstrating compassion, empathy and a person-centred approach
  • Being self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Flexible to meet the needs of the residents
  • Providing assistance, personal care, activities and companionship
  • Being alert to residents’ needs, health and wellbeing
  • Respecting residents’ dignity and privacy
  • Working with residents and families to deliver tailored care
  • Assisting with mealtimes and safe moving
  • Maintaining accurate records for each resident

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Committed to providing a high standard of care, promoting dignity and respect
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly
  • A minimum of a NVQ level 2 in health & social care along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care
