Job Responsibility

  • To clean as appropriate all surfaces, furnishings and fittings using the specified equipment and cleaning products
  • To maintain sufficient supplies of cleaning materials and consumables relevant to the working area and ensure that they are stored safely and securely at all times
  • To use, maintain and ensure the safe storage of cleaning equipment and to report defects to the appropriate person
  • To provide a friendly, efficient and hygienic service to all customers
  • Set up tables, chairs, and other lounge furniture and arrange them appropriately
  • Clean and sanitize toilet cubicles, showers, tables, counters, and service areas regularly
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain a positive work environment by fostering teamwork and cooperation
  • Be aware of COSHH regulations and use appropriate protective equipment when using chemicals
  • Adhering to dress code policies. Demonstrate excellence
  • Adhere to health & safety and hygiene regulations to maintain a safe environment
  • Follow proper hand hygiene procedures and maintain personal cleanliness
  • To treat your team members as you would expect to be treated
  • To co-operate with all team members and undertake duties in the cleaning areas as requested to ensure an efficient and effective service is delivered at all times
  • To assist and share knowledge and experience with team members as required
  • To report any accidents or near misses to your Supervisor as soon as they occur
  • To ensure compliance with all instructions relating to the use and storage of materials/equipment necessary for cleaning tasks

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel or busy setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor, with a genuine desire to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle customer complaints effectively
  • GCSE education or above
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a cooperative and positive attitude
