Requirements

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels
Detail-oriented with a passion for delivering excellence in customer service
Knowledge of the overall hotel operations is essential for this role to understand the part you play in the wider guest experience
L2 Food Hygiene is preferred, and you should work towards achieving this if you don't hold a certification already

Job Responsibility

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in all kitchen and back-of-house areas
Supervise stewarding team to ensure standards are consistently met
Monitor and record fridge and freezer temperatures
rotate stock using FIFO
Ensure proper storage of food and beverage items
Follow cleaning schedules and respond to urgent cleaning needs
Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including PPE usage
Support kitchen operations during food preparation and service
Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas and equipment
Comply with company policies, procedures, and loss prevention measures

Previous experience as a night worker is a bonus
Previous experience in a hospitality or leisure setting is preferred
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment from your own initiative when required
Reliable and confident to work as a Night Porter with the responsibility of up to 200 sleeping guests
Works well individually and as part of a team
Customer service experience
A positive, can-do attitude

Job Responsibility

Night Porter: Carry out hourly safety checks
Be a first port of call for assistance throughout the evening
Complete overnight duty list (hoovering, dusting/polishing, mopping) in Chateau
In Annexe: Set up and clean restaurant for breakfast
Control morning sandwich room
Pot Wash Assistant: Focus on Pot Wash area of kitchen
Ensure chefs have clean and hygienic kitchen equipment
Ensure guests have plates, cutlery and glasses
Support shutting down kitchen (cleaning surfaces and ovens, emptying bins)
May help other departments such as housekeeping or maintenance
