Job Description

We’re looking for a real night owl to be our Night Porter Supervisor. You will become a vital part of our nights team providing the warmest of welcomes and exceptional customer service, as well as supervising Night Porters on shift with you. You will ultimately be responsible for the safety and security of our guests as they sleep. As Night Porter Supervisor, you will need to be able to react to guest needs working on your own initiative and supervise your team to ensure they are doing the same.

Job Responsibility

  • Checking in late arrivals
  • cleaning the property and setting up meeting/conference rooms
  • arranging newspapers and wake up calls
  • ensuring the building and guests are secure
  • helping set the dining area for breakfast
  • supervising Night Porters on shift with you
  • ensuring your team operates efficiently and safely.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • ability to stay calm under pressure
  • excellent communication skills
  • confident to make the right decision
  • self-motivated
  • can multi-task
  • basic computer skills are an advantage
  • previous hotel experience is an advantage.

  • Greets all guests at the Front Door politely and courteously and guides them towards the reception desk or function rooms
  • Assists guests with their luggage for both check-ins and check-outs
  • Carries guests' luggage to the room upon check-in and check-out
  • Follows the current Rooming Procedure, including briefing guest on usage of light switches, TV, radio, internet, mini bar and telephone facilities in the room
  • Ensures that all guest property is safely handled and/or stored in the Luggage Room
  • Complies with standards of grooming and personal hygiene
  • Cleans ashtrays and lobby area neat and orderly
  • Participates in group luggage handling, distribution and collection
  • Replaces Doorman at the door, whenever necessary
