Job Description

Dovehaven Care Homes are recruiting for a Clinical Senior Care Assistant to join our team at Ashton View Nursing Home, Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makefield, Wigan. Working four nights a week 8pm-8am, with everyother weekend avalibility required- 44hr Contract. Ashton View is a Nursing home catering for up to 58 residents. The home specialises in Dementia & Nursing, and our aim is to ensure all our residents feel as comfortable as possible. Our homes promote independence, dignity and respect through positive risk taking and empowerment.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing the care team within the Home
  • Ensuring that care staff are adhering to CQC guidelines whilst providing exceptional levels of care to residents
  • Promoting and delivering high standards of care
  • Supervising and instructing less experienced staff to enable them to fully contribute to the care provided within the Home

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and written skills
  • Previous experience working within an elderly care setting
  • Self-motivated, resilient and well-organised
  • Team player but able to work on your own initiative
  • Dependable, able to work well under pressure and flexible to meet the needs of the Home
  • Previous supervisory experience within a care/nursing home setting and experience of working with the elderly
  • NVQ level 2 in health & social care is essential along with a dedicated passion for providing exceptional care
