Night Care Assistant

• Take responsibility for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents
• Assisting residents with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals
• Getting involved in general activities within the care home
• Helping someone with limited mobility to learn to use an aid
• Offering emotional support to a confused or distressed resident
• Delivering care to someone at the end of their life

• Delivering a level of care that truly comes from the heart
• Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility in adult social care
• Ability to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect
• Ability to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken
• All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in associated areas
